By interpreting archaeological finds, we can read, feel and speculate about the past. My project explores the relationship between human and object; I want to read, feel and speculate about the present. What is our emotional connection to objects and what do their form tell us about ourselves or about them. Taking my point of departure in alchemy and animism, I have used drawing as a tool to invent and get unexpected results. Through sculpture, I have then translated these drawings into emotional artefacts, where function has been replaced with exclusively emotional value.
Genom att tyda arkeologiska fynd kan vi läsa, känna och spekulera om dåtiden. Mitt projekt utforskar relationen mellan människor och föremål, jag vill läsa, känna och spekulera om samtiden. Vad har vi för emotionell koppling till föremål och vad berättar de genom sin form om oss eller sig själva. Med utgångspunkt i alkemi och animism har jag använt mig av teckning som ett verktyg för att kunna uppfinna och nå oväntade resultat. Genom skulptur har jag sedan översatt dessa teckningar till känslomässiga artefakter där funktion ersatts med enbart emotionellt värde.
